We were both having trouble with our knees. Constant pain, especially going up and down stairs. Both of us have arthritis. We saw Dr Aram a little over a year ago. He suggested injections which were to last 6 months. While the injections helped, there was still considerable pain. The decision was made to try the MAKOplasty procedure in my left knee and Mabel’s right knee. My surgery was in early May. I saw a physical therapist with in 6 hours of the surgery in the hospital and walked the halls of the hospital, the next day I walked up and down a flight of stairs and was sent home with a set of exercises for the knee. Post surgery included physical therapy three times a week for several weeks. No pain in the knee. My wife’s surgery was three weeks after mine. Again, she was up the same day with a physical therapist and was walked up and down a flight of stairs the next day and came home. Both us of used a cane for two days and were able to get around without it within three days after surgery. The very competent physical therapy team at Dr. Aram’s office and the exercises at home have made our recovery quite remarkable. We have recommended to our friends and family who have knee and/ or hip problems to see Dr. Aram for a consultation. We highly recommend his staff — From the front office ladies, to his medical assistants, his R.N. and Joint Coordinator, Julie and his Physical Therapists that worked with us, Tracy and Laura.
